The dash resets due to the starter taking all the power & the theshold for the clocks dropping causing them to reset - It did exactly the same...

Put the piston back in and hold the calliper in a vice. use a tyre pump with the inflatable bed adapter to blow the poisons back out - gently....
Its only too close if you cant get your bike upright... Easy way to cure that is another cheap disc lock.

if it was me, I'd put the dremal on it & cut a slot for a large impact flat blade first - you can always drill the head off after if it fails to...
