I'm running a LiFePo4 battery for the last 5 years. I like it. It doesn't need charging and all you need to do is bring it in for the winter....

Since the 8th gen is not a linked system and has the standard setup, my suggestion is to grab 10 feet of 3/8" plastic hose from Lowes and figure...

How slippery the Corbin is depends on what you clean it with. If you use Armor All, yeah it will be slick. I just use a Mequires interior cleaner...
