The mounting area for the Petcock and on the tank are totally different on the 86. From what I've read/seen only 86 petcock on 86 tanks.

The Petcock for the 86 is different then the 84-85. Depending on what bike you have and what tank/Petcock combo you use changes to the fuel lines...
