A suggestion for you --- put a relay to the horn circuit and that gets it off any conflict on the harness. - Just a SWAG...

Ok for real - I sell the pair valve plates....Laser cut and hand deburred and finished by yours truly. Fasteners included. $29.95 plus $7.00...

Also pull the hose off that goes to the airbox and now pull that sucker outta there! [IMG] You need to plug the open airbox port with a rubber...
The other sticky wicket is the electrical connector from the pump to the harness.... Its a royal sumbitch to get loose, work at it, it will get...
Now that that's done, you can work on pulling the pair valve pump..... [IMG] There is a screw on the airbox that holds the pump hanger... unbolt...

Now need new cover plates... Hey mello dude, where did you get the cool pair valve plates? :cool: [IMG] Clean the covers with alcohol or brake...
Put the base plates and gaskets back together.... [IMG] Stick them back in the seats... [IMG]
Next I did a clean up of the base pair valve plate and rubber gaskets.... Clean! Clean! Clean! [IMG] And an also - while I'm at it....clean the...
Close up of the reed valve plates.... [IMG] Next take each plate and stick it in a vise.... shoot a bit of "Blaster" on it to get the screw...
Starting out - obviously pull or cut the hoses to the OEM covers.... on the front at least on a 5th gen unbolt the oil cooler and let it hang...
