I have some pretty good miles on both the 5th and 6th, even ridden back to back. I would say that stock to stock the 6th does have the better...
If your emphasis is on sport, the 5th is the way to go, the 4th is pretty good too. The 6th is the Touring sport machine emphasis on Touring....
I still lean toward a more sporty VFR - 125hp, 400 lbs dry, Ohlins fr/rr, ergos somewhere between a 4th gen and a ZX9R, decent wind protection....

I had a 4th, put 25000 on it and rode a 5th and was taken by the engine. I like the 4th for it had way better detailing and the all analog gauges....
