sometimes, with all those changes and re-engineered.......... things can happen, so you'll need to re-check the torque on the lugnuts periodically...

smaller hole looks right. bigger hole, NO WAY :confused: and that's why they weren't installed.
Too tight in there, especially on the right side, with coolant pipes/thermostat in the way. At least the gen4 carbs are the easiest to r/r.
soaking never does the job completely. you need to put a .010" steel wire clear through the #38 idle jet to be sure it's clean and fully open.
one hose is the vent for the float bowls and must be left open to the atmosphere. the clear hose is not stock.
why it's not a good idea: you'll be using a radial tire on the front rim but can't find a radial for the narrow rear wheel, and mixing radial and...
Could be as simple as a defective radiator cap or the fan not switching on. replace any lost coolant.

bad carb synch has most affect at and around idle speed and up to about 3.5K rpms, not much above that no matter what you experienced.
dija remove the 4 idle mixture screws and blast cleaner +compressed air through the holes ?? small filters above the float needle seats were...
carb synch has no real affect at 80 mph, so it must be something else.
