If you do go to hotter coils open the plug gap slightly larger from stock settings.
One of my coils developed a deep crack...The accel coils also give it a definate "pep" .... not more horsepower but a better pick up.
[ATTACH] This my Accel set up with 8mm wires....definitely an improvement over the stock units.
I agree with The Captain, also check for intake leaks before the carbs and after the carbs. Take a good look at your intake boots. Check for good...

Sounds like a spacer issue. Are the spacers on the axle correctly installed?

Correct me if I am wrong but the plugs should have some gas on them....they should not be totally dry. Do they at least smell like gas?
