Probably not, cuz it isn't properly tuned for the bike: it's a one-size-fits-all. however, lightness is always a performance advantage.
IT'S much better to crack the drain screws ( IMO) than to let fuel--even with sta-bil--sit in the carbs for anything more than about 3 months....

You shouldn't need to do that. Just turn to maximum slack and pick the chain off the sprocket, then rotate adjuster as much as you want, right??
