the RED (hot) wire MUST NOT be connected to either green or black wires (grounds) or disaster will result. :(

not doin it right. measure AC volts on 250-500 volt scale. between each pair of yeller wires should see about 8 volts at idle & 55 @ 5000 rpm....

that's a simple cleaning, not a rebuild, which would include replacing fuel tube O-rings.

sometimes the rubber shrinks over the years so getting it back in the grooves can be tough.
