You do not have to remove the fork legs to repl. the fluid, at least on an '86. Drain bolts.
I would think you would have better luck finding used OEM muffler assys. There are some on Ebay. Here's a complete system w/ aftermkt. mufflers....

I've had luck using a sharp center punch. Make divot, then angle the punch to turn bolt CCW & wail w/ hammer. After judicious use of penetrant oil...
