Staintunes are the way to go. They are pricey but excellent sound and quality. The come with a baffle you can insert if you need a quieter exhaust but I really like the way they sound without it. My friend put them on his 03 and installation was fairly easy.

I've been very happy with the Two Brother's Racing
" The Stash " slip ons. My 02 VFR800 is black and I chose the nickel plated carbon fibre cans. Love the lower note and also appreciate the fake can storage as there is precious little storage on this bike.

Scorpion cans on my 2003 VFR. Look and sound great. 1/2 the price of staintunes. Staintunes are probably the best out there for the VFR.

Those Lazers are amazing! Where did you get and how much? Was installation complicated?

It's a slip-on as well... It comes with the 4 exhausts and the two extended pipes all the way down to the Catlic-converter. I was thinking, if I am going to spent $600 - $700 on other brand name that looks like everyone else, I might as well add a bit more to sound better and look unque, right? ;D

I got it from a distributor in NY for $750. Original price is $780... They are very nice ppl. Just talk to them and hopefully, they will give you the same price as me, or even lower.

Hey thanks for the tip! I spoke with Robert Foster this afternoon - nice guy and very helpful. I think I will swing by his office tomorrow and pick the system up. Are you in the NYC area?

No, I am in CA. It's nice that you are NY, then you won't have to pay for shipping fee. I am sure you got a very good price then... 8)

I'm also looking to upgrade my exhaust on my '06, and was looking hard at the staintunes, Leo Vince's, and the devil bikes. I'm thinking the Leo's, but my question is no one ever really mentions whether the price includes two pipes or one. Since I have a newer VFR, I'd rather stick to a Dual can. So when I order the exhaust, will it come with two cans or one?

    Leo Vince

The Leo Vince pipes come with two, and all the mounting hardware. They tuck up under the tail where the stockers were. Took all of 1 hour to mount. Sorta looks close to a 998 from behind. The sound is awesome.

That sounds great thanks for the info. Got a hold of Leo Vince USA and it's gonna take a couple weeks to get mine in. Apparently they made a few changes for the '06 bike and are retrofitting them to all the previous models. Either it be something physical or performance wise changed (my bet is the later) so I'm anxiously awaiting. Decided to go with the carbon fiber. By the way, do those have to be re-packed periodically?

My understanding is no re-packing. So enjoy them.

Asking which slip on is best is almost as bad as which oil/filter should I use. You should list that question and watch the flames! BTW, it's puralator pure one and a semi-synth 10w40. ;)

I have the Staintuunes as well. Great sound good quality and easy installation. Take the baffles out though two small screws on the inside tips. A little more expensive but you get a little more power better sound and a lot less weight. You can sometimes find them on ebay but I got mine cheaper from Sporttour.net.
