Inner Panels.JPG I just got the first set of these panels 3D printed.
The surface has a little texture, but I think they turned out pretty good.
If anyone is interested in buying a set let me know.

    lovely. they look great.

would be useful if you (or anyone) could spec out an exact match (or near) for the rubber side seals.

i tried to get a buddy to knock me out 3D copies awhile back, but his machine was too small.

I hope that OP gets back on this website and responds, cause those are gorgeous reproductions of those panels. There's still a market for bodywork for these 86-89 bikes, so whoever wants to try and make them will surely have buyers in some capacity.

Honestly I'd love to start reproducing VFR body panels, but I have no idea where to even start, and I'm afraid of ruining the panels I have. I actually had the chance to buy some neat stuff from Chuck Crites while Cobalt Racing was still around, and I think folks would love the single seat tail section.

^^^^^ probably building profitable multi-hole flesh-like plastic 3-D printed white girlfriends with a printed circuit brain for the international trade.

Dang....took me a few posts to realize this was an old thread.

While we're on the subject.......would these inner panels for the RC24 also work for the RC26 bikes?

I'm pretty sure that the fairing stay is the same between 86 & 87, so I'd bet that these panels would work for both year models, and the only real differences between the RC24 & RC26 are with the engines, PCM, and probably wiring (and ok, graphics). I'd imagine all the body panels are the same.

It depends on which RC26. All US 86 RC24 are round gauge. RC26 came in two styles in 86, round and the square integrated style. The inner panels are different depending on which dash it needs to meet up against. All 87 RC26 are the square dash style. There is no 87 RC24 for the US. And the upper cowl stays are technically different depending on dash too, but the mounts for the panels are in the same location.

Yep, good points and also correct. My guess is that there would be 2 variations of stays, one for each of the respective dash configurations (round vs square).
