I have a rattle in 3rd at around about 3000 rpms that sounds like a small pebble inside a can. Have checked the exhaust and no rusted or snapped struts as well as checking the center stand and cant see anything loose there. Although I haven't taken anything apart yet as relatively new to working on my own bike. Any help would be appreciated in finding the source.
Could it be a slack spot in the chain? If you run the bike up to 3,000rpm in third on its mainstand, you may be able to isolate the cause.
