I think mcn did know some thing about the new model but may have been to told to shut up you werent to publish it. it make good sense that they use the V5 motor coz probably not a great deal they do with the current motor, as its been tweaked over the years, there is limit to everything as for more torque id say this is where the 1000cc comes in, some members have been talking about it would be to close to the st1100 in my own opinion no, coz totally different engines and bikes and the v4 has ben spun the other way in the st range. i think they will continue with pretty much what they have but better coz thats why ppl buy them, you change things to much ppl want buy them and honda isnt going to take risks with the amount of money they spend in R&D. Ppl have mentioned maybe not a 1000cc coz of fuel econ? i wouldnt believe that look at v8's these days nothing like the old v8s technology can work wonders on fuel econ if they want too, also honda still have the option like buell of putting fuel in the frame which may happen further down the track? there is a lot of variables but i think it makes good sense to bring out a new generation vfr 2010 as a milestone and what better then a V5 they have developed but werent allowed on the track, lucky us would any body like me to take orders now lol. lets hope they have ditched the vtec and done some thing special with the cam drive ie. look at 1125 buel engine very clever. Keep saving ya penny's for 2010. Bye.

 

This bike would, I think fill all of our V4 sport needs. I know it would fit mine, but in CO. we're expecting only 6 or 8 of these to become available in Oct '09. At a minimum of $30,000, plus whatever Heli's would set ya back!

I sincerely wish Honda would remove their collective fingers from one anothers' secret places and turn out the bike I really want. I just don't have 30k for an Italian V4!

 

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Anybody actually seen one of these at a dealer?
