2012 vfr

To be truethful, The 1200 as a Scorpion look to it, that I don't care for!

 

Its actually cf wrap so it can go back to original red if I wanted.

 

Did it! Took the wife's DCT and my 2010 VFR in for service today and ended up riding home on the 2012 manual. Have to say the changes are very noticeable.

Just had a chance to see the 2012 in blue at the Indy GP at the Honda booth.

I gotta say..... in pictures the blue is hideous. In real life, the paint color and quality come to life. In direct sunlight, it is a brilliant blue with a nice flake in it. I can almost say I like it. Not as much as the European white....

Quick question. Did Honda raise the stock handlebars??? From the 2010 that is at my local dealer to the 2012 at the track, the handlebars seemed noticably higher? Is that true?

 

Does anyone in Socal have the 2012? We need to make a new map for it since they made changes to the power delivery.

 

I really like the 12. I wish they would lower the price 2-3 grand or include the bags. Still overpriced in my opinion.

I hear many complaints about the fuel mapping on the new Viffer but I have to say that it saved me on an occassion where I went full throttle at the start and wound up looking to the sky when the rear tire finally got a grip. Though it was a "clenching" moment, I was able to let her down easy. What I learned is that the Engineers at Honda have tuned this bike for your average rider (me) knowing they (me) can get into trouble. The power is delivered at a good rate but I suppose it depends on your abilities.
This is exactly why I never bought a CBR or R1.....

 

I love my 2010 red black colour scheme.
I get a ton of comments on how great the bike looks and that th epicures don't do the bike justice.
Loved the look from day 1.
