    Merry Christmas!

Just happened to stumble across the 2014 VFR - pretty underwhelming, especially since Honda claim to have listened to feedback:

    - no gear driven cams
    - why hide the beautiful single sided swing arm???
    - bland styling
    - reasonably priced integrated luggage??
    - modest power increase??

LED lighting and heated handgrips are cool, and at least they kept the center stand. Instrumentation looks good too. I think they missed a really good opportunity fully update a classic.

I was at the Honda dealer today and asked about the VFR800, They said they wouldn't know if its going to be sold in Canada or if you can special order them. They will know this weekend as the Honda reps will be at the big bike show this weekend here.

Overall I like it. My main complaint is that exhaust....they should have kept the undertail IMO. Like others have said, why hide the sexy swing arm? Otherwise, I think it's a nice looking bike. I would consider buying one.

They had to ditch the twin under seat exhausts, that was where they lost most of the weight.

I like the LED Headlight.....but that's about it. The tail pipe is fugly and the fairing looks like a 5th gen (going retro?)

I like the look of the new Dash. It would be interesting to see if it can be fitted onto to my 2003. Probably would cost too much and not be worth the effort though.

A dollar short and more than a few days late. Half-assed attempt by Honda to win back some of the customers that have been driven off by the recent selection of new bikes........

Except that the rear wheel is now 5-lug. Good luck with that.

I agree, I just finished my high mount on my bike.
I would be interested in buying a new bike also. A friend is also interested in the VFR800 if it comes back to the U.S. Perhaps they should consider doing a complete one litre bike instead, though. I think riders agree the 1200 is just ugly. The VFR800 can use a bit more power. VFR900? VFR 990R? Bring back the 800 and it will sell.

Now that you mention it why hide the great new swing arm, a under tail exhaust would of finished it off nicely, overall don't mind it but its not a jar dropper.

If I was able to get one it would have to be in white as I hate red with a passion.

The new one in white definitely looks pretty appealing. I would rank it as the best looking touring bike available right now. If they make the 800, All you need are a set of saddlebags and you can start to tour all over the US.

Note the absence of the radiator openings in the new fairings. Looks like they are mounted lower?

You mean on the 2014? The radiator is now in front.
