Well, at least it should get a decent amount of air to properly cool the engine so that it won't roast the rider's thigh!

The radiator should be a chin mount and the oil cooler above it if I remember correctly. Can't find the picture they had up on VFRD at the moment.

I think I would want a fender extender to help cut back on the rocks hitting the rad fins though.

Looks vulnerable, I have a Lockhart oil cooler on my 83, mounted under headlight, second radiator in the chin.

They gotta have fans behind that radiator too. More fun getting to oil filter.

It looks like the coupling to the muffler is in the same place as on the sixth gen, so I am wondering if a sixth gen undertail exhaust could be made to fit 'easily'. Also, it looks like there is only one radiator in the front, I doubt that will be enough to keep the V4 any cooler than the sixth gen's two side mounts. Especially in city traffic where cooling is needed the most! And is it just the angle or does it look like the pegs are a bit higher up then the sixth gen?

Gotta agree with that. Too little too late.

Interesting comments on the '14 VFR 800. Yes, I'm biased ... I love the 800.
I guess I'm old school now that I'm in my 40's and all because I'm excited to see that they are bringing the 800 back into the line up. Last summer / spring or the one before (time passes by so quickly these days!) I went out on a factory ride and rode the VFR 1200, CBR 1000, the 600 and a couple of the other bikes they had. I told the Honda rep and my local sales guys that I would stick with my '05 VFR 800 because it was like having all these bikes in one.
Now that I have heated grips to keep my girly fingers pliable, heli bars to take some weight off my manly wrists, smoked sport touring windscreen to keep the bugs out of my eyes and hard saddle bags and trunk so the wife will tour with me and that sergeant seat now that my daughter is old enough to ride with me, I'm not sure when I will actually pull the trigger on buying a new bike.
And yes, I do live in god's country here in the Kootenays where I can sport ride for hours in the morning and then go for a leisurely cruise with the family in the afternoon.
Who knows, maybe after I ride the new 800 this spring I might get rid of my BMW 325i and put 2 VFR's in the garage instead :) My wife calls my VFR the mistress anyway so she won't argue ... right!

Every picture so far, both red and white, have been of the European model. Even Honda's website only has pics of the red Euro model. Seems most Euro VFRs have always come with gold wheels. I'm guessing when we finally see a US version, it won't have gold wheels.

Maybe that's why I like it so much...I can jump a whole generation and have a similar esthetic.

I like the white. Not enough of a reason to buy one. Not enough evolution to move beyond my 6th gen.
I like the fact they moved the radiator but is it big enough to cool the bike properly and it dosnt look well protected. I actually like the V-Tec but it would be great if they would go back to gear driven cams. That would be a cost I wouldn't mind paying for.

the vtch gives the 800 great gas mileage and on the 06 it works pretty well- I like the bike I have-everyone changes a stock exhaust to something better!:listening_headphone:smiley_simmons:

No mention if they run cooler with the new radiator in the front.
