I stumbled upon this "news" in various articles:

    https://young-machine.com/2018/06/09/10277/

    https://auto.ndtv.com/news/honda-cbr1000rr-with-v4-powertrain-could-arrive-in-2019-1851821

    http://www.bikesrepublic.com/featured/2019-honda-cbr1000rr-will-run-v4-engine/

Now these are all "hearsay" and nothingconfirmed by Honda (yet), and this rumor pops up again and again here and there.

But because Honda has officially registered a few V4-patens like 1-2 years ago and the latest new V4 was the 12oo one, I think this time we might get it.

What are your thoughts on that matter? :D

(I haven't found an older thread covering this topic, so I thought I'd give it a shot and post a new thread, I hope it's ok)

Kind of, but this one is different because they are suggesting it's the CBR1000RR that will be getting the V4 - I don't recall seeing that rumor before. Also, the story is from a Japanese language publication, not the usual runofthemill internet rumor site.

    I believe in miracles! :D

Honda should be able to do at least as good at reliability.
But can they make it as sexy as the Italian supermodels?

Well I think when they came out with the 06 and 07 Cbr that was the best looking years. Then in 08 it got a fugly nose. But even that grew on me. The RSV4 and new Ducati are beautiful Bikes. I kind of like the Ape better. Followed a friend with the RSV4 at Barber on a bunch of laps. Full Akra titanium system on a well tuned bike. Music to your ears. I have really liked some of the concept drawings of the potential new Honda but who knows if that is what Honda would design.

that was exactly my train of thought :D

I was hoping for a core-truth since the first time the "rumor" appeared was on a japanese website, too.

Think Scotland have a better chance of winning the World Cup.
