I had mine powdercoated. It was only $100 to have both rims done. In my opinion, the RWB only looks right with the white rims - it takes me back to 1986.

cool, thanks Stewart. nice bike btw
My wife sez that the black brings out the colors on the bike and the white wheels overload the white therefore drowning out the R&B.

:crazy:I still like the white ...but the black is growing on me.

Mine are powdercoated... Having black wheels, frame, seat etc... it's too much & sucks it down. White wheels are true to the lineage, and are actually better in the long term. The black wheels are painted, and I often see the black 6gen wheels peeling & lookin like shit.

82nd, I noticed in you siggy, you have the 07 RWB #. I'm assuming that's a production #? How did you know which number your bike was?
Looking to buy a RWB and have the VIN. How do I tell what # this one is?

It's the last 3 or 4 significant numbers of the VIN. For example, mine is ...00830, so my bike is number #830.

My buddy's Harley parked next to it, but it's still one of my favorite pics of my bike.

I don't have any special RWB pics, my bike is still pretty stock, but I did pick it up for a song.

Look at those miles, bring back any memories? The bike is pretty much new. I bought it with 1900 miles.

I think the mutual frame envy is funny. Why do we always want something we don't have?

And not to miss a chance to post a pic, here we go

It's coming along well. The house in Ottawa sold last week so now we can make a move on a new one here. The family is out here with me in a condo while we find the new Casa Jethro. Two of them even found jobs so maybe we will survive this without financial ruin.
