    There are always slight improvements at hand. For example do some research on Aircraft (Slipstream) Polish and you'll find that aircraft wax lowers surface drag and increases overall speed by 5%.

    This might get be if interest look at the power curve shown on this Aprilla RSV4 full system, it should indicate what the DynoTech gains should be for my VFR but keep in mind this full system costs more than what I paid for my VFR

    Look at this on eBay
    Exhaust Aprilia Akrapovic RSV 4 Racing Full system Titanium EVO2

    SMH Sorry to burst the bubble here, the gains there, and the maybe gains on your BW are from two different worlds. Your BW is just a nice replacement for the stock exhaust, even your follow up from BW says so, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the 98-99 stock header is better. We've been down this road all ready. No need to beat a dead horse.

    There are three points to be made here (that "the average joe" would not be able to pick up on) First of let's imagine that same company making the " performance full system" actually did that same product for the 5th Gen VFR. The question here is would the performance system be able to out-perform the OEM system, with simulat gains, just due to the exhaust? If yes then that graph depicts to what degree a performance exhaust can contribute to an increase in power? (Ok so yes to that first part) So next if that's what's possible then the second point is how much of that increase in power is attributed to the pipes being made of titanium? So the third point would be since the OEM is made from carbon steel, just how much would in outperform the BW that are made of brand new 304 SS and would have less corrosion than 18 year old OEM? Plus the BW pipe routing bends are of greater radius than OEM. So in the end I think it's a wash plus when you factor in the cost of the titanium performance system the difference in the gain is not worth the cost and BW is the winner

    No, I don't have Corbin seat. I have a stock standard seat which I'm happy with, I find it comfortable and I like how I can shift my position without my leathers sticking too much. It's quite amazing how light weight the stock seat is.

    I would agree to a point because I think you actually need both. The stock seat is great for daily shorter rides on smooth roads but does not offer the shock asorbing performance factor of the denser custom Corbin seat foam when it comes to asorbing road bumps,so it's good to have both

    BTW, The thread didn't get deleted, just locked. You can still read it, just can't reply to it anymore. Something I'm sure others will be hoping will happen here too pretty soon...

    Awe, Be it known, I'm not your Average Joe. ;) Biggest to do here in exhaust regards, Honda never IMO designed nor had any intention to have the VFR of common have much to do with the RC days, beside in actuality even as great as the RC30/45 was, IMO it made for a lousy daily ride, If one was wanting too. Honda put their attention into the CBRs Yes, I can agree if Honda or any performance minded business saw potential in as well as money in the pocket we would have seen em. but going back to the day when Erion racing and Two bros made after market exhausts for the 5th gen for a performance increase, they where not a hot commodity, Go figure huh. Now it seems to be what folks are looking for. This of coarse could carry over to the 6th gen as well ;)

    I bought this 2001 5th Gen VFR with 12k miles, it came with the OEM headers with the catalytic converter and o2 sensors and an aged Vance and Hines exhaust. On the test drive it was a hot summer day in mid September and I remember the water temp reading 231 degrees. I knew the entire exhaust system had to go and there were four choices for headers;
    1) used 98/00 OEM (and get it ceramic coated)
    2) New Black Widow SS 304 (UK) $500 w shipping
    3) New Delkevic (made in China)
    4) Motard SS (eBay)

    I wanted stainless because I was on the lookout for a used Staintune High Level

    Black Widow is a complete kit with gaskets with direct consumer sales. The reviews stated the systems fit-up quite well with no issues, unlike what I reviewed about Motard and Delkevic. If the fit up is poor the welds get stressed and you end up with leaks.

    I really do not think the BW are restricting the exhaust flow and they fit up perfect to the High Level Staintune. Although the BW are not catagorized as a performance system, they do have improved performance over OEM, it's that simple

    Do you want me to post the dyno of the motad vs the two brothers header again, so you can ignore it and pretend like it doesn't exist? By the way, they're both stainless....
