84 VF1000f Carburetor Problem

    I bought an 84 Interceptor 1000 and it sat for a couple years. It will start with the Choke on but every time i give it gas it kills it everytime. anyone know what i can do to solve this problem. Every time i turn the choke off it kills it also.

    otherwise, takes average newbie about 5times of removing and reinstalling carb assembly before they get it right.

    First post, first VF, first carb problem, :welcome: to the club !!

    If you can get the carbs off the bike in one piece--with the alloy airbox bottom attached--i can clean and check everything in your carbs for a very reasonable price as i have loads and loads of experience.....and need work. Please send me a PM if you want your carbs fixed right.

    Like tinki says, it's rare for a carb-newby to achieve success until he's had them on and off a few times to track down all the problems, and that's no fun at all !
