Aftermarket seat, second hand stock seat or re-upholster??

    My Fi2001 seat split over the winter. Watching the black electrical tape peel a little more each day is becoming too painful so figure I'd better do something about it.

    The 3 options are in my title and would like a little more information before deciding. Your thoughts are welcome!

    Having your seat re-done by a pro is nice, but as I couldn't afford doing this, I went with a Saddlemen kit for my '07. Did it myself (had to buy a powerful staple gun, Amazon) a few years back and have not been disappointed.

    Local pro didn't cost me any more than a new aftermarket.

    But I got exactly what I wanted in a custom fit, fabric, and trim.

    Might be worth phoning up Tony Archer in Huddersfield and seeing what he can so, he's been doing reupholstering/seat covering it and does top quality work, not sure on his prices though.
