    Hi All,

So I'm going to change my air filter, first time I'm doing it on the bike and was told that you don't need to drain the fuel tank on the 500 Interceptor ('85) before removing it to access the filter.

Can someone please confirm whether that's the case? Would prefer not to spill gas everywhere and feel like an idiot:)

    Thanks,

    Joel

No need to drain tank unless you want it lighter to handle.

Easiest way to drain the tank is to start the bike, fit your riding gear and ride for 100 miles or so...

Thanks, that's what I was thinking (re: both replies above)

    Best,
