Hope you guys had a wonderful ride Sunday----perfect weather----- it really sucks when work calls at the last minute, but the $ is killer------ Hey D--heres a few of my old Duc

 

Nice Ride there Duccmann! Has the Super Light tail section and white frame too. As far as our ride, Sunday was nice but right around 11:00Am, EVERYBODY came out of the woodwork! It got crazy busy with bikes. Since we left early we got in a decent ride before all the traffic showed up. There were a lot of Ducs and Beemers at The Rock Store, that's for sure! We saw two VFRs there but they had left before we could chat with the riders, not sure if they are on the forum.

I did a little experiment with some Plasti-Dip spray cans and a one piece CR fairing while I wait for my new right side panel to show up...I say Meh! it was just for giggles anyway. I think it would have looked better if I had prayed the tank as well. I didn't have enough time on Saturday so I just did the front fairing and rear cowls. I'm thinking of maybe using that carbon fiber wrap or paint them red too so I can have a "CR" version to cruise when I feel like it. Maybe use the "CR" stuff when I finally get to take it to the track.

 

Ya thats why I HATE goin up in that area on Sundays. Do what we did and Always go on Saturday. Listen, I know you live a ways away but my paint guy is in Chatsworth and does GREAT work. If you ever read HOTROD mag, he does alot of work for them and even has the origanal FBOMB camero that he did up a few years back.
Looks like shitty weather this week-end maybe next week huh. What pipes are on the Duc ? Still kickin myself for selling mine :frown:. Do they make the carbon wrap for the VFR ?

 

Send me your paint guys info, I went to see one guy out here who does all the Ducati Newport Beach clients and a few local racers but having several options is always good. As far as carbon wrap, not sure if the sell exact cut pieces for the VFR or if they just sell it in large sheets. I've only read of guys wrapping from one large sheet with custom cutting. Not sure what pipes are on there, these were part of the purchase package when I bought it back in '95. I got the pipes, K&N air filter and stage 2 jet kit.
