my 86 has a slight vibration when its in nuetral and idling with my hand off the clutch...and it stops when its in gear....The powers that be have said that its nothing and quit worrying my stupid little head about it....... (I paraphrased what he said ) I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse... you mess with it now and there are gonna be all kinda threads about how your bike is leaking and it won't stop....... Just ride the thing bro!!1
I been coasting up to red lights going down thru the gears and picking up nuetral since I been riding bikes. 200,000 miles and 25 years. I watch my mirrors and chit and think that I at any time can become a foot ball being punted through the intersection. It hasnt happened yet to me. Side note, I did replace my clutch plates on my gen three bike not too long ago, it had about 70,000 or so miles on them. Replaced with stock honda parts, metals as well as friction plates and springs for good measure. I never noticed any vibration in nuetral and much of a difference with the new plates, with the exception that it seems to make a louder "clank" when I initially start the bike from my home. Cheers and ride it harder\ok
