It never goes above treeline, so I'm gonna say between 10k and 12k ft.

Ok, one more pic....in case you guys were wondering what a 6th gen looks like on Squaw Pass...

I can't believe you haven't toured it yet...it's a lot closer to KS than Canada or California!

Right?...so sadders...I was supposed to tour it this summer on my way home from Canada.

Moto issues put me in a detour. I was to ride through Idaho, Utah, and Colorado and then back home.

It will be ridden in this year...

By the way AM, I get the feeling you enjoy beautiful pictures. This guy takes some of the most amazing pictures I've ever seen (I'm sure there's some post-production work to make them so vivid, but still) And he's a Colorado fellow to boot...

Some post production? There's an understatement. Those are so overblown with HDR they burn my eyes. The bulk of them are actually composite photographs, meaning multiple pictures grafted together.

No offense. His style is his style, and he is welcome to it. But these are definitely, heavily edited.

Here's a pic of my Gen 8 from the same place... A bit overcast, but one of my favorite rides.

They are. It's my inner photographer that cringes at such heavy use of HDR and photoshop. I like to be able look at a picture and see the photo in it's own right. Not have the backs of my eyes fried and constantly be wondering which computer program was used. I guess I'm just too old school, or maybe just too old...

He has some nice photography. I think what is bothering you guys is that he is pumping up the chroma a lot. You can build a profile in a lot of cameras and shoot photos that look a lot like that right out of the gate. Where he is Photoshopping a lot is cranking the chroma in particular color channels for effect. In the old days of film we had to pick films with a lot of chroma like Kodachrome 25 and Fuji Velvia. You could also print on higher contrast and chroma papers like Cibachrome.

Holy LOVE!! Just read the intro...so amazing and awesome he is doing travel like this at his age!

It will be amazing to see what kinds of journeys he has up his sleeve. He's got a decade more life than me...so hopefully he has more rides to come!!

Thank you for the share! <3 <3

Momma done took my Kodachrome away! RATZ! Got a few Cibachromes tucked away. Another that is long gone is dye transfer. I hear the latest PS has auto HDR as part of the package.

The photo guy is good. Maybe a little too heavy on the button?
