Waiting for gas at Costco....soooo crazy busy!!!!

 

Day 4

Woke up bright and early at Long's in LA...

I was surprised to find him out doing some errands after our crazy night and his injuries from me breaking Stuka's tool. But he was determined to get things finished so we could meet Randy and Mark later for Pho.

We had a quick breakfast and tea then headed out to show me around. It was amazing seeing the area after riding into it at night!!



We went to Tarjay for meds...his vajayjay needed special attention after the work from the previous night, plus he needed to get back to working conditions for Stuka ASAP...and to get me some more toothpaste and mouthwash.

Then he took me to CA Harbor Freight!!!! <3 <3



Then he took me to Huntington Beach...OMG...the ocean!!!!!
I was in heaven...







We piddled around the beach and head back to his place to meet Randy and Mark...talking about how thankful we were the crazy lady didn't kill us while driving to the beach. Typical street view...I cannot get enough of this place...



We got back to his place and Randy was there waiting for us! Sooooo awesome to meet him in person and give him a squeeze!!!!

Shortly after, Long's friend Mark joined us. He is a world ADV traveler and it was sooooo cool to meet him. Hopefully I'll hear and be able to see more of his travel stories in the future or even travel with him!!

We headed out to Little Saigon. Everywhere I looked I was in awe!! I couldn't believe all the palm trees and the Dr. Seuss trees were soooo tall. Snow-capped mountains in the background, ocean the other way...I could live here forevers.



We stopped for the most amazing chicken pho evers!! And there were flowers, and blooming Jade, and other plants seeding...in December!! I was just WOWing everywhere I turned. The little things amaze me and the day was full of them.











After lunch, we said our goodbyes to Mark and then I started to gather my things up.

The plan for today was to ride to a Randy's area and relax for the evening. But not before Long stripped his moto to set me up with his heated gloves and his wife's heated jacket...as well as his throttle lock since I left mine at home. <3 <3







Randy and I left Long to experience real LA traffic. No lane splitting with all my gear, but it was fun to watch the motos doing it. Not so fun to be in a backup tho because of a motorcyclist down.

Finally got to Randy's area and WOW!!!! How could someone not smile coming around the corner and seeing Simi Valley?!! <3 <3

I got to meet his amazing family!! We had a yummy dinner, watched movies (Why We Ride and Hitting the Apex...WOW!!!), then passed out.

Oh yeah...also met a new furry friend!! He loved muh riding jacket. <3 <3



What a huge wonderful day!!
And I still had beach sand in muh toesies!! <3 <3

 

Day 5

This morning I woke to a beautiful CA morning. We piddled around in the morning. Had amazing breakfast and went to head out for the day.

First stop was the Honda dealer to buy a new key since I lost mine in Phoenix.



After we picked up the new key we headed out for riding.

I cannot even begin to explain my feelings riding the amazing twisties and seeing the magnificent orchards, valleys, hills, mountains, and sky. So I was in awe...



We made some sight seeing stops. One was really awesome...a motorcycle police sculpture commemorating the two men who rode in the middle of the night to warn residents of a flood coming due to broken dam.

Just WOWS.....











I didn't think I could be even more wowed until we came here...









It seemed we could almost touch the clouds!!











I climbed up higher to get a better view. Randy took video just in case I fell...that would have been funny! But I made it up for amazing views.



Lints couldn't resist coming up too!



Loved having CA dirt all over me and in my fingernails.



After being mesmerized by the expanse that pictures can't express, we headed back. We hit rain and warmed up a bit a Starbucks. The muddy footprints from the hill climb earlier cracked me up...seeing them in the parking lot.





We made it back but not before riding back through more veggie fields...broccoli...mmmm

We relaxed with yummy dinner...which I have to say his wife made the best food the whole time and made sure to make what I could have...she is amazing!!!

Then...DUCKIE!!!!!!



I LOVED meeting muh Duckie and giving him a squeeze!! Such a treat for him to come visit at the end a wonderful day!!

Fell asleep hard and fast and in daydream land over the day's experiences.

 

None of the coffee I think, but hot tea for sure. Soooo yummy....

Haha, if I drank that stuff I'd prolly pass right out!!

 

Isn't tomorrow May? I wish....
