Well according to Trump's speeches, the election process is rigged, I wonder if he still feels this way?!

 

It is so easy to see why he was able to pull it off. America a rich and powerful country but with massive unemployment and socially isolated people, who know only too well, electing Clinton was just going to give them more of the same old same old system that has kept them in the desperate situation they are in. They have absolutely nothing to loose as they have nothing anyway, so a shake up by Trump probably won't help them but you knew nothing would have improved their situation by voting for Clinton

 

I have heard this explanation before but I don't think it holds up when you look at the vast number of voters. I voted for Trump and I am not desperate or angry. I am concerned with the direction of the country. I am deeply concerned about a lawless administration and I am concerned with a Hillary supreme Court pick.

you were willing to let slide all of the terrible things he's done and said, because his policies were convenient to you. you are exactly right that a majority of the voters that went to trump are NOT in the kind of economic peril that he spoke of. however, he got their vote because he made them feel like they were going to be in for a hurting. and in exchange, he has made sure that any person of color, any woman, any queer person or immigrant or refugee is going to get the shaft. he has used the term "take our country back." who do you think he and his voter base are taking "their" country back from?

Jim I agree with what you are saying , but it is all those extra votes he got from disenchanted people that took votes from Hilary and upped his number count

They say that this election was a vote for the lesser of two evils, had they ran under the same card Clinton/Trump, we could have got the best of both evils!

Actually, I let slide a lot of the things the media attributed to Trump (he said mean things) to block the known terrible candidate Hillary Clinton. I know the Hillary supporters are disappointed. The Trump supporters didn’t expect to win and so were pleasantly surprised. The Hillary supporters were promised a victory and that must be very bitter pill to swallow. The reasons for Trump’s success can be found in the public's dissatisfaction with the current administration on any number of foreign and domestic issues but it balms the hurt to brand all Trump supporters as knuckle dragging bigots and morons. The Democrats have only themselves to blame. If they had run Joe Biden Trump would never have stood a chance. That's all the political crap I will spout. Politics ruins friendships and motorcycle forums.

Better that than ruining my country. This guy is dangerous. Any study of political science will indicate that there is really little effect on the daily life of the average person no matter who is prez.. I am wondering what those who voted for Trump are going to believe when those outrageous campaign issues and yes, promises he made never come to fruition.

I think many of those who voted for Trump are tragically unaware of the tripartite form of government we enjoy. Your comment on the "current administration" blaming all ills on a single entity bears this out.

Just today it started. A guest on a radio show hosted by a local "conservative" luminary was railing that both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were spearheading the cutting out of live fetuses from women in their final stages of pregnancy. That is just insane..

 

i dont brand all of them bigots and morons. im sure, some of them are good people but if they try to deny that they are supporting a misogynistic bigot simply because they dont like the undeniably qualified, hard working, diligent person who he was against, im gonna call them out for it.

 

Branding is sort of kinky, I'm thinking maybe a couple of those temporary tats might suffice or a Brazillian wax..

 

So the current US goverment debt of 19.5 Trillion dollars and climbing wasn't of concern to anyone when listening to his promises ?
