The question is who on here would buy one from what they have seen so far. I need a new bike for next season so I will either buy the VFR1200 (if it comes this way) or the BMW K1300S.

If it's competative with the Concours 14, I will buy one. If the Connie is still better (than the BMW too IMO), then I'll get the Connie.

The BMW is a great bike, but when optioned out the Honda will be cheaper and nothing beats the reliability of a Honda. Also much easier to get service if needed for the Honda finding BMW service is not as easy, especially when travelling.

So I'm sitting with a dealer today discussing the (overpriced) 1200. I figured I could finagle a good deal. He thinks he can maybe knock $2K off list price, but with the bags, it's still gonna be nearly $18K otd. That's pretty steep, I don't even think it had the automatic. What I'm waiting for is the touring model, since I think the lower pegs will be easier on my knees (that's right sonny) Then he looks up the financing - 7.5% for my excellent (780) credit score. What the heck is Honda doing to these guys? All the dealers in South Florida have bikes languishing on their showroom floors. Hey I'd take one for a good deal.

In fact I really like the front end on the current bike -reminds me of a PRR GG1 when I used to have model trains. (The rumor mill shows pics of the 1200T with a completely redesigned front end.) The killer for me was when he looked up next year's pricing and noticed that this bike is not even offered as a 2011! One off? Overpriced? WTH is up with all this baloney?

I am looking at the 2010 vfr. What do you think , DCT or manuel. I like shifting and I am concerned about long term reliability as well as finding a dealer that is familiar with the DCT if I ever have a problem with it. This will most likely be a long term tbike.
