Morning Fellas! First off, CON ROD you're in. That makes a total as of right now ELEVEN (11) sets. I got a post yesterday from the Heli dealer and he's going to contact the manufacturer to see exactly how many sets they have in stock. When he gets back to me I'll let you all know. I would hope that we all can place our orders this week and get the ball rolling...

PS. For those of you wondering about the OEM bags. First thing is, I stole them from a dealer for $780 delivered. That's no B.S. Second thing, I hope you picked up a copy of the "Rosetta Stone" software to learn Japanese. The install instructions for my bags were A.F.U...All Fu___ Up. After about 3 hours they turned out perfect though!! And they look SWEET!!

 

Awesome Herc- that is a great price! I wish to hell I could afford them- I came from a BMW R1150 GS with the factory hard bags and they spoiled me!

Hey Guys!! I'm currenlty waiting for kia001 to respond back with the manufacturers quantity "in stock". At that point he'll set up the website so everyone can make their orders. Hey Fellas... Not good news here. I recieved a post from the Heli dealer regarding a couple of things. First off, he inadvertently miss-typed the wrong price. The Heli's are actually going to be $220 plus $10 shipping inside the US for a total of $230. For our friends to the north the shipping costs for international is $28-$35 a set depending on where you live. My apologies guys... He did have a point though, if he sold them at the price originally quoted he'd be loosing money after the Pay Pal/Credit Card fees he has to pay are added in. Again, my sincere apologies. I was all excited at the $219 price. In the end we are still getting a good deal.
Secondly, the Heli-Bars company is at least 3 weeks out on the large order we're trying to place. The dealer says he can reserve sets from the manufacturer once the orders are placed with him. I think it's still a good deal and probably the way to go although it's your choice. I doubt we'll find a better deal. This is the running list I have so far--1.Viffer Rider, 2. nealf, 3. BadVifYes, 4. B206driver, 5. Captredfish, 6. HercFE, 7. Rodknock, 8. teksdailyride, 9. Flatlander24, 10. petienne, 11. Con Rod, 12. AZTraveler, 13. ronald4780, 14. agcoats. That makes a total of fouteen (14) if everybody is in.
I guess at this point a confirmation post is not a player since we've blown past the 5 order requirement for the $230 delivered price. I'll wait a day or two to get your responses if you care to let me know your thoughts. I'll probably have him turn on his site Thursday so we can place the orders. Let me know if you guys have any other ideas but again I think it's a fair price.

I think its going to come down to the wait time. With 11 or 12 sets, I would have thought we could do better than the newly quoted. If we're only going to be saving 20 or so, it may not be worth the wait for me. I'm going to give it a day to think over- maybe we should try a convertibar group buy, LOL. Not your fault Herc- you did all the work here!

I'm still in.....$230 shipped is still better than $269-279 elsewhere.

 

I'm still in- hope they can ship quick- got my first long VFR trip coming!

 

I am still in, the extra time will allow me to save for the Throttlemeisters for the Helis.
