any viffers in atlanta?

im a new rider, and ive only met 1 viffer (4th gen) so far. anymore in this vast congested city?

 

wrestler is out of town this week, but he'll be back next week. He's the only one I know of for sure.

There are quite a few fellow atlantans but with the winter season and all it's kinda hard to organize a ride. I organized a ride a while ago and had over 10 people. I would check up in springtime and post a get-together event.

 

i will keep that in mind. im so excited to ride, i have winter gear and summer gear, so...im still going. but i can definitely try again in the spring time. by then, i wouldve had a few good miles under my belt.

 

well im not in atl, but i live a hour away from you, we should meet up and take a ride through the mountains.

i was think going the back way through baitsville and up to rabun county, and mybe south carolina, if you up to it thats mybe a 100 miles on big deal.

 

I'm a fellow Atlantan, and my bike is good to go for some winter riding. I'm thinking we need to take a cruise up to vortex on thurs night or my mountain house in Gatlinburg (best roads in America surround it) for a day or two. You let me know when you are free and I am down. I'm sure we can get a handful more and make a day out of it. Let me know

so how far are you guys from habersham county? its near hall county

 

i am in north fulton (dunwoody, roswell, alpharetta) area. hall is just above gwinnett, so what...45 min? if that. so add another 30-45 min to get to habersham. 2 hrs tops.

 

nah no two hours, it takes me, runin 70 about 15mins to get to gainesville and your in north fulton so with you runin 70-75 hour mybe hour in half, if you like we can do a little winter ridding ill pull out the ninja. but have you ever been to baitsville and rabun county?

 

nope. at lest not on the bike. vince may have.

Hey all, wrestler just nabbed me over at vfrd. I'm at Collier rd and Howell Mill Rd near GT. The next weekend it is nice, I am planning on heading to the Talladega Nat. Forest in 'Bama, need something new other than the "loop" at Suches/Wolf Pen Gap.

Is there a ongoing thread to check for ATL area group rides?

good to know. that what we are trying to start. if atl viffers want to ride a lil now (like me and vince) then we can coordinate a few things. but im sure most will be ready in spring or whenever it gets above 50. we will try to keep this thread going or start a new one once we actually begin meeting and riding/lunching/eventing/gtging...til then stay tuned!

 

mybe im the only one but i never been to the dragons tail, id like to get a group of guys and ride up there.

 

I'm also in North Fulton (John's Creek) and I really don't mind riding in the the cold weather as long as it's not too windy or rainy. I went on a 5 hour ride this past Saturday by myself and had a blast. If the weather is 40 degrees or higher I would be happy to ride with you. I'm off next Friday - Tuesday in case anyone is looking to get into a bit of trouble.

Nice bike BTW.....I always loved those 3rd Gens.
