A normal battery charger will work. I've just found that the "battery tender" type chargers will kick off before getting much energy to the pack.

    Nice attitude!

No, they do not share electrolyte.

Glad you like my attitude! .... I respond in kind....

With regards to the separator....I really thought SLA's did share in some battery styles. My mistake.... I may have been wrong about them being in the same electrolyte..... but I was right about them becoming unbalanced due to sulfation, and requiring an equalization charge.... you're still misinformed.

Conclusion: They do unbalance, you might never see it because you're not looking. They absolutely do become unbalanced, because they're actualy completely separate cells. We'd never know our Lead Acid battery is unbalanced, it's completely enclosed except for 2 terminals, unless we use a flooded lead acid battery with openings for the 6 areas where we can test specific gravity. They do in fact vary between cells. We use a hygrometer to measure that. If our cells differ more than .05 it's in need of an equalization charge. Why? Because they're probably sulfated/damaged/out of water and one cell differs from the others. Maintaining Flooded lead acid batteries is something people do all the time, My buddy that drives a fully electric car running floodies has to check them once in a while. They equalize charge routinely to protect from unbalance.
