So I've been a member a long time but I've been away for a few years riding other things. We've all done it. Anyway, check out this 5th gen. I've never seen another 5th gen with a tank like this one. Love to know if it's from a different region or a special edition of some kind. IMG_4789.jpg

Hell yeah! Glad to see you back. Not many of the 6g Militia still standing in these parts. I do have to say, that is one mighty fine 5g!

It's a nice example for sure, staintune, sargent, power commander, it has risers but not installed and a rear shock upgrade. Not sure the brand, I need to check. Just giving it a once over and fluid change before selling it for a buddy. I installed new tires, chain / sprockets, brakes and tapered head bearings in it four years ago and he hardly rode it. I probably should buy it off him and maybe I will after I touch it a bit.

Damn, you need that. If for no other reason than you prolly won't ever find another like it. That is pristine.

Looks like this fuel tank is a 50th anniversary edition tank so the bike is from the US not Canada and the fairings probably should be silver. Hmmm. upload_2024-9-12_7-53-52.png

Elka Shock appears to be installed.

Taking care of a few items I'm not fond of. The Elka remote reservoir was tucked loose under the seat so you couldn't adjust it or see it. Seemed a shame to not see it so I loctaed it under the lift handle temporarily with zip ties. I'll make some mounts to secure it properly. The Power Commander harness and unit were also not very tidy so I made a few adjustments to tidy up the area under the seat. VFRness needs to be tucked up as well. Then I had to go feed the horses and do my chores. upload_2024-9-12_20-23-14.jpeg

Even under the seat looks really good for a 25 year old machine.
