Hoping that you mean too often or at least to clarify a time or two.

My question now, is if no one puts fuel in your bike, do you just push it around or leave it in your truck?

If I may, let me suggest one of the USAF Extension Courses on writing and perhaps some insight on what you are paying/gallon for gas on base as compared to off-base prices.

Ha, ha dude. I meant no one other than me puts gas in my bikes & you know it. By the way, what the hell is it you want to know since you really haven't said it so far. I find it hard to believe that all you want to know is how good my grammar is & how much fuel on base costs.

Last time I filled up my truck was May 4th & I paid $3.49 for 32 gallons which works out to $111.68

Current prices at KWRI, if memory serves, it is $3.79/gal for the cheap stuff. Off base, it was $3.85-$3.99 depending on where. I've been gone for 7 days so the prices may well have changed. Here in KA, I've seen as high as $4.29 for the cheap stuff & as high as $5.15 for diesel.

    KC-10 FE out...

Whew! What I am most happy about is that you really don't hate everyone.

Would you consider deleting that from your current curriculum vitae?

    hi,
I write again about the argument..."being robbed"...today 14th july 2008 in Italy, I paid gasoline for my vfr at € 1,61/liter....( as it is a current price in Europe) well what do I do now ? I began today to do extra work time at my office (in a telecom company) to pay the "soup" for my babe ! Isn't it love for my Bike ? I never thought that the gasoline price could stop me riding my bike..but now it's hard to continue, I was afraid of engine troubles, electrical problems, carbs/cams adjustment but is it possible that this damned petrol price can stop a strong motorcycle race ? No ! Till possible I will stay on board !
Never mind, Lamps to all VFR Owners !

An interesting question if by "race" you mean MotoGP Carmine.

Wonder if MotoGP start winding back allowed fuel load by say 0.5 litre each year from its current VFR sized 21 litres would this encourge the companies to develope increasingly better Fuel efficiency vs HP with its benefits trickling down to regular motorcycles. ?

I predict gas prices will fall and then the economy will improve.

hi, I hope MaddMax is right...
For John 451 : by "race" I wanted to say something like Human race/mankind...but my mistake generated a new sense to my question as you noticed ! "Race" is a "false friend" for us who speak english as a second language. But the outcome is rather interesting !
Lamps to all VFr owners !

Was just curious, I work for an Australian Telco and have occasional dealings with a flamboyant Carmine from BT Italia, he is entertaining like yourself so maybe it just all Carmines have interesting personalitys ?

PS - Life is always good when you are riding a VFR.

Oh, nice to learn there's another Carmine also working in a Telecom Company. And thank you for considering me "entertaining". Maybe ""Carmine" is a predestined name for "open mind people", I hope. Is this Carmine from....? I ask because my name is a typical name of Southern Italy....
The only thing to do is to ask the "other" Carmine to buy a VFR if he has not one. It would be great !
I agree, life is better when riding a VFR.
    Lamps !!!!

Just to update this thread, UK gas prices in July were a record £1.37 p/litre. This is £6.20 for a UK gallon (20 imperial to US 16), which at 2$ per £ is $12.40. Get out of that one, Gordon Brown, and stay fashionable.

As of today, 4 Aug, gas is £1.26 per litre (a UK gallon is 4.54 litres).

    A bit ungrateful aren't you.

As the UK is a slight Net exporter of oil you should be happy with the overseas revenue, if it were cheap you'd just use it up yourselves.

That would be a fair comment, except, have you ridden on our roads lately?

There is obviously very little of that money being pumped back into the infrastructure, and what is, is being wasted by cowboy contractors. Not that I'm bitter or anything:smile: When you go for a ride you spent have your time watching for the crevices.

At least you knew what good roads were like, luckily for me the VFR is just the machine to cope with them.

If its like here the fuel Tax tips into consolidated revenue to prop up crumbling public Hospitals, social security systems and politicians future pension funds....

Did you know Mad Max was a docudrama except these days the NightRider drives a hoted up golf cart and the MFP ride Black Segways.

I feel the government is trying to kill the middle class. The oil companies, the mortgage companys, and the 'Walmart' style co's.Illegal immigrants, outsourcing manufacturing, and who answers the phone when you call about any utility related problems? It seems we are too expensive for our current(corporate)government. The founding fathers must be rolling in their graves.Just a comment on the price of gas,we are getting f877=5!
