I think that's about right. The right way to convert it might require a different fork that hasn't had the steerer tube cut down yet.

I would wonder if the cost to convert + the used value of the cross, might not = the price of a new bike? And a new bike comes with a professional fit. Just a thought.

Can't blame a guy for trying but I think they're asking way too much for a used Anyroad. Brand new, the list is $1200 or $1250 for the higher end version. Beware there is an Anyroad 1 and 2.

Well I tried selling the Jake for $500 and I kept getting low-ballers. I have added nut friendly seat and computer and water bottle holders and lights for early morning rides so just making small changes might work better for me.

When I got mike road bike, I bought a Cobb seat, mainly because they gave explicit instructions on how to mount it and how to measure. One of the key instructions was; do not mount seat inline with cross bar, mount 5 degrees to one side or the other. Made a world of difference.

Really? Is that a seat with the nut trough also? Mine is not as comfortable as I'd like. I get numb nuts.

I quit riding on the street a long time ago, just mountain bike now. About 5 years ago I stopped running and only bike for a workout, much easier on the joints. First time I went mountain climbing I was a little anxious about not running and just biking for cardio but I found that I was actually in better shape. I have an old Cannondale super V 500 that I have changed out a lot of components, nice forks that are very adjustable and lots of travel.

Reg71: Yes it has the trough, and some memory foam. It's not what other people would call soft, but soft enough to make it comfortable. Bought mine about 4 years ago, there may be other manufactures now that have similar seats.

From the number of bicycles just in a few pages, it looks like what is needed is aboot six bicycles costing as much as an MV Agusta.

Just a thought that you might make sure you're sitting back on your "sit bones" and not allowing yourself to slip forward and put more weight on the perineum, the "taint".

This might make a great opportunity for someone to start a bicycle "Sturgis" or maybe just some Tshirts that say, "Show us your derailleur".

On occasion, my generous nature overwhelms even me. Hence a blanket invite to all you bicycle dudes to come and hang oot in my hood for Seattle's Summer Soltice Parade in 2015. The event depicted is not popular January through March for obvious reasons.
