The dude on the KTM is showing some really good stuff but he missed one called the Texas Pump. This one is done with the left hand with the fingers simulating the holding of a small can of one's favorite beverage and yes, employing a pumping action. First done in the late 1950s using a bottle of Big Red as the model. Several complaints concerning the size of the Big Red bottles resulted in the official size depicted drawn from bottles of Shiner.

I found the Canuk love to wave....regardless which bikes they on. I have the best time chatting with them during my last trip up to Alaska.

Most people out here on the west coast are "from" Manitoba or Saskatchewan. We are the bright ones who know to leave that fucking cold and mosquitoes big enough to stop the launch of the Space Shuttle.

This thread has convinced me to never wave to anyone under any circumstances. Thanks, everyone!

Then we gots the stadium waves from about the early 1980s. The latest version is aboot the same only with cell phones in hand and everybody taking selfies to post on Facebook. A really cool bunch is the choreographed wave when the porky little North Korean dude with the modified mullet shows up at various public events. This is one where cell phones might not be the thing to have..

I wave at everyone - if they don't want to wave that's their problem. Most people in the NW wave back.

Last summer I came around a right-hand curve leaning seriously and waved at two Idaho State Police motorcycles before I saw their decals and flashers. They didn't follow, maybe just too damned surprised.

Yeah, I wave at scooters too. They might grow up to ride something real someday.

Everyone who still waves at most everything should maybe observe some restraint. One harleydood who OD'd on Ec was waving at UFOs. He got hauled off by the Walmart guys who have the big nets.

Not by choice. Was told my paycheque would be waiting for me back in '89. Have hated this fucking place ever since moving here. But hey. To move means going back to having a mortgage and giving them fucking banks more of my minimal pension earnings. Besides. I might miss the aroma of fresh spread liquified cow shit.

I bet they had a little fashion recommendation pop-up window so you could buy the right gloves to look cool doing it.

With some of that glow in the dark paint on gloves, some codes could be established. Like red could mean I'm waving at you but since you are riding a Harley, I really don't give a shit. Even a short version of Morse Code could be used like some of the text acronyms.

I waved at a rider last week and saw, too late, that it was a cop. Cops don't wave back it seems.

I am from a very small town in North Texas. Until recently, everyone waved while driving. This wave consisted of two raised fingers from the hand that was clutching the steering wheel of your truck. The only exception was for women. Men did not wave at women because (I think) that this might be misunderstood as a romantic gesture.
