Way better longevity with the GT-spec over the normal. Don't know why or how. I thought it only had better sidewall support.

Both AM and I were disappointed with the standard spec longevity.

They stick good but they aren't slicks. They turn quick though and very stable / predictable.

I'd estimate I have 8k miles about on them with at least another 1k left, maybe a little more.

I'll be buying another set of GT-spec in the spring.

Yes. They are a ST tire regardless of the GT spec or not. The GT is designated for heavier bikes, that's all.

No problem -- let me know what you think once you have them mounted with a few miles on them.

Can't beat the price, especially since there's no up-charge for the GT spec.

When I was chasing the Lamborghini last weekend, I was running 36/42psi. Bridgestone says I could have dropped the pressure to 34/36 for even more grip. Not that I apparently needed to, but had I thought of it, I would have.

Yeah that sounds a little high for spirited riding.

I fully agree with you. I'm just glad they have the great grip they do!

An honest question......are the EVO's THAT much better than BT023's? I ask due to the huge price difference. Most of my riding is very spirited riding and the 023's handle and last very well considering the beating they take. The only thing I have against Bstone's is that all of them ride hard due to very stiff sidewalls. As far as tire pressure mentioned above, I use 36/42 and haven't had a slip yet. I find it very hard to slip a rear (or front) with the newer dual compound tires. Thinking about a more sporty front anyway on the next front tire both for grip and handling. Grip on the front is rather important. I can handle a slip in the rear but the front slipping is another story.

I got 4300 miles from the last 023 rear and was amazed considering how much they're abused. So, back to the original question. Thanks.
