I agree. But I don't think that would work over here in North America. You have the luxury of having relatively sane drivers there who have some respect for others on the road. Over here, we are stacked full of assholes who don't see beyond the front hood of their cars, are lucky if they use their rear view mirrors, let alone side mirrors and shoulder checks. And so may people simply do not follow the rules of the road. So ya. We are stuck with just closing down streets and stalling tens of thousands of commuters for even our Prime Minister motorcade. And the US Presidential Parade, now that is just something else. I think they even have a car assigned for the president's third aunt Sally's pet dog, Button's, groomer.
