Get rid of that sig, it's all a bunch of pep boy mods. Until you can bring some genuine style, think about the folks that keep it real. Peace.

Many thanks for those kind words mate. If someone hadnt shown the world a light bulb then we would all be reading this in candle light. That said, if you prefir candle light then thats cool too.

Its just a 'how to' take it or leave it, its not an issue. I just thought it might be interesting to some of the lads on here.

when i first saw the thread, i thought you was going to put a car tire on the motorcycle rim. a guy at work did that to a honda shadow and loves it, but i never thought about putting a car wheel on a motorcycle. Pretty cool dude.

are you an engineer by trade or do you just dabble in it? I think the wheel mod is cool..I guess I was expecting to see a wider wheel .LOL. looks good.. maybe a tip for the brake line mod...drill the hole out a bit bigger and slap a rubber grommet into it... I dunno, it would give me piece of mind about the rubbing

No mate, not an engineer. I research as much information as I can find on a given subject, then have a go. While I'm doing it document everything so others may use the information and try it for themselves.

I think you might be right about the gromet, I go back and take another look.

Thanks for the positive imput mate.

Nice work! I've seen the brake line mod and it's definitely on my to-do list.

That rear wheel looks incredible on your bike, nice job. :thumb:

A very cool bike and it looks great.

    Just one question.

I can see how you maintain the clearance between from the swing arm using the spacer, but won't this modification move the centre of the tire away from the centre line of the bike?

mike warren, is that you ??

the whole idea is barmy and detracts from the bike's cornering ability !!

Neither of you two caught the difference between "wheel" and "tire"

He still has a motorcycle tire, just changed to an automotive wheel for a wider selection of look. The photo is on the 1st page with the multispoke wheel. Shouldn't create any noticeable corning problems for the average rider.

To the other poster regarding wheel centering; you do the math to design a spacer that maintains clearance AND centerline.
