Do you think the "Lucas SAE 80W-90 Gear Oil" is safe to use for the final shaft drive on my 2010 Honda VFR 1200?

    Thank you

If it meets the same spec's as the original oil it is safe to use. Check the requirement for the original oil. (API GL-4, API GL-5/MT-1 etc.)

Well, the users manual says "Pro Honda Shaft Drive Oil 80W-90" and I'm about to use "Lucas Oil 10043 SAE 80W-90 Heavy Duty Gear Oil"
    I guess that's close enough?!
