Check up and touching base before Friday... Now can Friday get here already?
Two??? which one is yours?
Chiropractor appointment tomorrow, Ice packs tonight and a full bottle each of Advil and Tylenol. Said to be the best combo for pain and inflammation since one covers one better than the other and do not have any side effects taken together. Well other than liver damage while taken with alcohol! These will be the first pain meds that I have taken in 20yrs so I guess I have a part of my liver just waiting for them. ;-)
The one with the lights off is mine, the other is Bubba's
I'll say you are good to go. Hope the Chiropractor works some magic as well.
Ify's is the one the right and mine on the left. We met up to look at and check things this Sunday, checked coolant, tire pressure, looked at 12-volt adaptors, gave him a chain lube system and looked at tool kits and tire repair kits. He is getting luggage and I was showing him my luggage. I was shocked to see that the VFR came with an attached adaptor plug already on the battery that I had not know. We found mine still attached to the battery but zip tied to the bottom of the metal luggage rack adaptor. Unfortunately, the end cap of the adapter was gone so I ordered another one that was thicker gauged than the one I bought a couple of years ago. I also found out that my phone mount did not have a slot to recharge on the go so I ordered another one. I hope everything gets here by Thursday.
Damn Optimist!;-) You did not feel the pain after our short ride. I be there, just don't bitch about me needing to stop a few more times.
Y'all are a hoot! Enjoy the ride my brutha's! Just to recap: where are we meeting up Friday? At the Sunset RV place?
Just checked the weather for Delta: gonna be warm...
You guys sound like you’re ready to rock n roll.
Bubba, don’t forget a good bottle of your favorite beverage for the pain after the rides.
Have a great time and as always, be safe guys.

Yes. I need to set a meeting place with ify. my plan is to leave by 11:00am to meet him 47 miles that way from my house. If I have any delays I will text you and him about it. I have to gas up and check the oil after riding it since I failed to do so yet and I do burn a little. What time are you leaving at? We do have some road construction to deal with but google should update us on that. I expect us to be there by 5-5:30 pm.
Chiropractor report: He suspects I have a twisted pelvis and a vertabrae that is pinching. Good news is he does not suspect a bulged disk. Took Xrays and I report to him with the result when I get back for treatment options. Still is painful so no corrects other than diagnostic work. He thinks it is manageable with treatments. But that, of course, was said after my insurance check on benefits came back and that they are great with no limit on treatments annually!;-) He was referred to me by (Mark Eaton- Ex NBA ALL STAR from the Utah Jazz) that retired due to his back issues without having surgery. So I will see.
I did as well but what does our route say? I guess depending on what time we leave on Saturday we will not run into anything colder than high 50's-70's. At 60mph or higher we will cool as ducks on the ride. Hell I did southern Utah in July last year when the low temp daytime was 96. I was sweating bullets even with every vent open. Bike rode super hot as well but they do so anyway. 221 was the average coolant temp.
Lol, the optimism is what keeps me going most times. That and some good old beer. . As many stops as needed will be fine.
I've got to get my wheels back on the bike (got re-shoed), but should leave the house around 10:00. that will put me in Delta around 4:30 or so.
Mad doc post something and Igrok as well. I am working on some video. But here is Mad Doc doing his thing.
Lower High Mesa route 65- My ass was so sore that this is the only speed I wanted to go!;-)
what a beautiful road!
Just back from a ride to Pensacola, and naturally I hit Colorado Rte. 92 on the way. It's the best. I got lucky with good weather after nasty rain in the morning. I also got lucky, missing some stupid cow in the road by 6 feet or so.
Put this road on your must-do list. I always do it south to north so that I get the tightest turns right away while I'm freshest.
