I have had Corbin and Sargent on several bikes, no longer even consider Corbin. Sargent wins on construction, attention to detail, and customer service.

When butts become universal, then seats will surely follow. I am almost certain that Crusty will attempt to solicit pix for his collection. I like mine in 3D and smooth.

The trick to popping for one of those mass produced seats is to buy through your friendly dealer, then if it goes tits up or breaks or all that other shit that happens sometimes, the dealer is the middleman. Save the box..

With auto upholstry outfits a dime a dozen, and in almost every town save for some podunks, why folks don't check out what might be possible, is baffling. Then again, I am not a fan of stockers and lookalikes.

Just recently I saw a custom cover for a Harley that was made to look like skidmarks. Problem was that they were perpindicular to the long axis of the bike.

That guy is semi local, I wonder if he can cast a mold of my arss and put a reverse on my seat.

The Mayer saddles are high quality but lack in the style department. ie they look like they just came off a Gold Wing.

I like the Mayer idea I want to ride a flying Sofa. I am sure if you told him to detail it and change it up a bit he could. Thinking myself of buying extra seat off flea bay and having him make a wide two up seat for me and the misses for the touring aspect and just keep the stocker for canyon carves. Seeing how when half your arss is hanging off the seat it don't make much of a difference when your flying solo.

I think instead of a sofa, a couple of recliners (his&hers) would be better if y'all do that California lane splitting thing. ;)

Wonder if they do motorcycle saddles, would be damn comfortable.

On a side note If I had that brown color on the saddle and a pearl white bike that would look clean.

I'd buy a couple if they sell them with the labels showing. One must present the proper consumer face ya know..

Here are some pics of my BMayer saddle. I believe this is the best upgrade I have on my 06, the contour part is back far enough that it does not affect movement when riding the twisties. Just slide back and then you are in the comfort zone while on the expressways.

Can you really pick up an inch seat height reduction w/ a Sargent ?

If you're meaning does an inch make that much of a difference, not really sure, but it DOES make a difference over Corbin (about a 3" change between the Corbin and Sargent).

I'm talking seat height reduction vs OEM. One inch lower than factory is a big deal if you're 5'6"...........

The sargent seat on my 5th gen might be a smidge lower in the center but its also wider, actually making the overall effect and increase in seat height. Well worth loosing both heels down for though, its an awesome seat.

Exactly why I went with the Bill Mayer, I am 5'5" , 5'6" on a good day . they were able to customize it for my by shaving about an inch out of the top of the saddle and shaved the sides down to make it a little more narrower. i am now able to walk it back into a slightly uphill parking space without having to get off

I have been slowly training myself to make sure I always point the nose uphill when I park, even if its only a slight incline, its just easier that way.

I went with the Sargent seat with Silver piping to match my bike. I have been really happy with it, at first sitting on it with feet down, I thought it to be more uncomfortable than the stock seat and was ready to get really annoyed. However, in the riding position it felt much better than stock, supported me better to the edges.
