    Hey Guys,

I was riding on my way home from work. Made a corner, downshifted, hit the throttle dropped the clutch. bike started to go and then it would not go. I thought it had jumped out of gear or I had spun the chain. it happens occasionally. any way coasted to a stop. and putting the bike on centerstand engine running dropped it into 1st chain turns rear sprocket turns but rear wheel does not looks like hub has slipped out of the splines from the driven hub to the wheels. It is under warranty, so I took it to my dealer on wednesday. of course they are all backed up. I don't know how long they are going to have it. of course they all came out to see it when I brought it in. they said they had never heard of a VFR doing that. so i am freakin out, going through withdrawal. worrying about my baby being in a strange place all alone. yeah I know it's only a bike but man i Love that bike. weather here has been gorgeous I was plannin on ridin to work everyday. best laid plans I guess. No word from dealer as to what happened or how bad it is. guess that extended warranty was worth the expense.

Bummer to hear your VFR broke. I have never heard of one doing that either. Lets hope they get you back to riding soon, bro.

Must say never heard of that. My neighbor has been riding a 5th gen vfr for 8 years. He has near 100k miles, don't think he's ever had anything like that. He said he had replaced rear wheel bearings, but never had a problem with the hub. Good luck to a speeding return of the bike.

Hope they get it all sorted for you bro.

Seems like I remember seeing that too. Luckily I got the extended warranty too, cause now you have me worried. I'd ask the dealer to see if Honda would do an analysis on the part and see what might have happened.

Yeah I know Lgn001, I check that stupid sidestand bolt every day before I leave the garage. But then again I've had a kickstand fall off(not the Vfr) and its not cool having to lean your bike up against a brick wall while you turn a shoulder bolt down to size.
