    Ok, this is annoying...

I can't change the time on my dash clock. I can reset the trip odometers, I can change from metric to English etc. I've changed the time before. Either I'm missing something simple or something is broken.

The clock keeps time. It isn't the correct time.

How do you change the time on your VFR?

    Thanks!

    Brent

Just took it for a lap at lunchtime. Nope! No joy. When I hold both buttons in the MPH/Kh starts blinking. If I click again I get the temperature to change from degrees F to degrees C.

The bike was on and the engine was running.

    Flav-or FlaaaV!

Don't see it making much difference. but on my 5th gen I don't have it running when I adjust the time. Just to the start position.

You're holding the buttons simultaneously, right?

i can't remember if it is turning the ignition key off or on while holding the button down. I couldn't figure out how to do it either, which has never happened to me before with any vehicle I have owned. Took the bike to a Honda dealer, even the Honda mechanic scratched his head for a while before he figured it out.

Key on, make sure odo is displayed, not trip A or B. Press and HOLD the right button until the hours start flashing, press the right button repeatedly until the correct hour is displayed. Press the *left* button until the minutes start flashing. Press right button to change minutes. Lather, rinse, repeat.

My 5th Gen blinked out on me last night at Home Depot. I came back out to start it after a return and hit the start and total power loss. A,B and clock reset. Not sure if its is a beginning R/R, Battery, or bad connection issue. I have a R/R previously ordered and apparently being delivered by a 3 legged donkey on the way.
I reset the clock this morning by; No key, press and hold both buttons, Time for hours, Press Trip, Time for minutes, turn key on.

    1. Put slick fiddy in your gas tank.
    2. Determine on which side the time that is displayed in relation to current time
    3. Find a long, long, long ,long, long straight road heading east and west
    4. If its closer to set the clock backwards (ref. to #2) then point your bike east
    5. If its closer to set the clock forwards (again see #2) then point bike west
    6. Ride on long, long, long, long, long straight road and open the throttle all the way up till you break the space time barrier
    7. Stop when you reach the appropriate time. If you go to far in the adjustment just turn the bike 180 degrees and follow step 6.
    8. Find road with twisties in that area you stopped and post pics and report.

Just let me know if I can be anymore useless with help on this subject. Youre welcome.

    Challenge still accepted...

Ask Mr Scott to beam you up. Tell Spock about the therotical space/time change thing. Tell Capt Kirk to slingshot the Enterprise around the sun basing the calculations from Mr. Spock and have them beam you down at the time that is on your dash clock.

Post pics of all the above events with description.

I thought you had to get up to 88 mph or something. But the flux capacitor does need to be charged first.
