Wow, too many crickets in this forum! Seriously - no riders in Colorado?

I know at least one personally that I rode across Colorado with. His screen name is Tinkerinwithstuff but we usually just call him tink.

Duccmann will be moving out to CO soon, probably not helping you now but good guy to get to know once he’s out your way.

I'm out that way often. OFTEN.
But it takes me 8 hours to get to the real elevation.

There are a few here, one as listed, and a few that you can find on VFR800 Owners Facebook page.

There was a ride arranged this weekend in fact. But the weather turned shizzy.

I've ridden out there February before last. Hoping for another winter run. That was fun.

Looked frickin amazing! I saw those pics. Could have ridden down south like that.

But 8 hours of shizzy cold rain to ride south of the range on a bum foot was no go.

Wish he had more peeps to join. We'll get it... and when you are there, Duckie!! :Hippie:

There are two of us in Utah. But I forget his name and he only posts once in a while and has not returned an invite to get together. So I am here at least and would look forward to this forum getting going with real conversations and ride possibilities. Spring 2019 Lets get a ride together and I say Utah's Canyon lands and route 12 and 24. ;-) A.M and Duckie, reg and anyone are a must as well! I am being selfish now because the barely used girl is burning some oil and 1300 or more miles are just a bit much to risk until I get an answer.

I could make my way back over to UTAH in '19. I think Derstuka is headed over that way for MTB soon.

I've been there once. Got myself a little lost on my way out of there but my credit card was in good shape so managed OK. Until South Dakota where a forming tornado gave me nervous bum burps and I opened it up to North Dakota and hunkered down in a small town there.

wow, good to see some peeps here. Yeah, weather in Central and Southern Colorado is as confused as a calf, staring at a new gate, so you gotta ride when you can. I'll keep looking here for rides. I'm up for a Utah trip!

I'm up for a Colorado trip as well, I loved the ride I took through Colorado entering Via I-70 and through independence pass and more on my only group long ride on a 1995 Kawasaki Gpz 1100 in 98'. I always ride solo, so it was killer to have the group (all Gpz riders) and the comradery during the trip in Colorado, and the bullshit about riding abilities from the group after the day. No com sets, no radio, old school. Only bitch was the sheep crossings in the mountains in Colorado and the fucking antelope in southern Utah at dawn riding home. :) Lets get a ride scheduled and done no matter the area for Spring 2019!

I've been looking at the roads in and around the Black Ridge wilderness area near Grand Junction, also looking at Hwy 92 up through the black canyon near gunnison. And of course, you can't rule out the Million Dollar highway between Durango and Ouray!

Frick, I rode all that CO this summer... really seems I was around the entire state. So amazing! There is a group in CO that we have got going. When we make a new ride, I'll try to remember to post details here. Absolutely amazing!

Not to forget to go up Mount Evans...

Here is the lake on the way up... I took this photo with my cell phone.
