I'm traveling this weekend and won't be around VFRW. You should take some video of the sync gauge before, and after. I'm optimistic that it will be the majority of your problem and it would be interesting to see/hear the before and after.

Will try to do a vid man im hoping the sync will fix most of my issues also, mainly the throttle issue about the engine not reacting like it should when turning the throttle and letting go. The slowly speeding up and going back to idle when it should be much faster. Im still waitin on special tools to come in the mail then ill get er done ;)

look @ the clamps on each, try to tighten. Boots are cheap (like $10-12 each) should you need to replace them

check price online, support your local dealer. Your local dealer price will likely be the same when you factor in shipping from online retailer.

Same old story... Clogged idle jets. Bike sits and they get clogged easily.

But no one wants to take the cabs off to actually remove them and clean them and make sure you can see day light through them . They just want to spray something or replace some easy to get to part. But take off the carbs NO.

Can be confirmed with a vacuum guage. If you know how to use it.

I hear ya well carbs have been overhauled meaning used a carb kit on each of em. Bike finally started for the first time after i did that but runs like crap. hanging idle. i let go it just idles on. i give it gas it takes forever to pick up. cables ok. found atleast one leak in a carburator boot. trying to seal it or find new ones which s kinda hard here in germany if u speak better english like i do! once i figure out how to fix this air leak hopefully without having to buy new boots i will do a carb sync and adjust the valves and i hope that does it!!!! cross your fingers for me!!!!!!!

You do not need the special carb boots. (Ebay)
They do not work that well even when new.

I use the silicone boots made for turbo systems.
You can just cut them to length. Different colors available too.
The carbs are easier to install with the more pliable silicone rubber turbo boots.

Re read the post.....Ebay. Type in turbo boots. I think I ordered two and cut each one in half.
