The size of the engine is fine as it is, just give it a 10-15 hp bump.

    KC-10 FE out...

1000cc and keep the weight down, don't need no Vmax motor, that bottom end grunt would be great ,but what ever it takes to get 130HP to the ground would be fine with me..

This one doesn't bother me as much as everyone else. I could handle a VFR 1000, but I'd rather stay lighter than get the extra cc's. At least I think so right now. Tomorrow, I may be just the opposite.. :)

    Agreed.

Honda got ~195hp from the RC45, shouldn't be too much of a problem to tweak the current VFR engine.

I think that it should be 1.) gear driven cams 2.) lighter with bags 3.) single sided swingarm 4.) and an under tail exhaust

I don't see too much wrong with the power as it is, maybe a bit more bottom/midrange. I do like the sound of the 889 thought Hopsterman. I don't really want more power, quite frankly I am not a good enough rider to use what I already have.

How about an air conditioning compressor that has snap on fittings and plugs into your Honda VFR OEM Riding Jacket that is lined with tubes for the refrigerant to flow through. It could be cool for a hot day, or hot on a cool day. just dial up the temp - or it could automatically adjust to the ambient temp.

My friend Lee J drove an air conditioning compressor off his Saber's back
wheel... the suit cases held the intercoolers... two giant hoses routed the
refrigerant air to his helmet... by gosh it worked...

LOLOL . no matter how original your idea sounds, some one has always already tried it !!!

Im sure theres a lot of technology and refinement that can happen here though.
