Does anyone have service manual of 02 VFR ?

    How to read chain wear indicator?
    I looked at it several times and can't get it.

    You can stop scratching your head...

    There are 3 indicators on the gage. The first mark shows a new chain, the second is the safe operating range, and the last is when it's time to replace. You can determine the wear on your chain by drawing an imaginary line straight up from the leading edge of the rear sprocket up to the indicator. As the chain wears and you adjust the eccentric cam in the rear wheel hub the sprocket moves back. Be sure to check the gage when there is 25-35mm (1 to 1 3/8") of total chain movement midway between the sprockets. This info comes from section 3 page 19-20 of the service manual.
