Yeah, it's tough to get a quality recording that does an exhaust system justice.

I heard Okingr's Supertrapp (post #138 in this thread) on youtube when I was first looking at exhausts. I was instantly sold, so I'm quite happy I found an Elite S/C can on the cheap.

Well...this is much more basic, but for what it's worth. Stock pipes on my '06, but gutted...as you can see from the close-up. At cruising speed it's not a lot different, but it's a noisy bugger in low gear...

I have an 06 with the Leo Vince pipes and this clip is pretty spot on as far as how they sound. If you have some good speakers turn them up. The Leo's are not extremely loud but their low end rumble lets people know you have arrived.

Here is my current set up. Two Brothers Racing fifth gen Full system. I had to cut the mid pipe and cut my old slip on and merge them together. It turns out that they are the same exact diameter. I could not bring myself to destroy another exhaust by wrapping it, especially one of these super rare full systems, so everything was ceramic coated to protect it and lower the temps a bit. Also the center stand had to be deleted, because race bike.

Upgraded a few weeks ago to a Fuel Exhaust Diablo. Just wanted an aesthetic look change. Getting an exhaust with a removable baffle was a plus, was curious how it would sound. Currently running no baffle. Some backfiring comes with it. Video compares my old Yoshimura RS-3

Did you just change from the OEM muffler or another aftermarket muffler?

Is there are true back-fire (you need to fix it!) or perhaps you are describing "a popping noise"? The PAIR valve pops on deceleration, and this becomes more pronounced especially after changing from OEM to aftermarket mufflers.

If it is a back-fire, aka combustion in the exhaust, accompanied possibly by flames, I would ask if you are you using a fueling computer. It would need a rich condition to back-fire which is unlikely stock. Unless something else is broken.
