i'm working on these carbs now. it's apparent that they were recently and properly cleaned but the float settings were way off, so resetting them accurately will probably cure the flat spot.
Just wanted to give a quick update here. Got the carbs back awhile ago. Install went shockingly easy. For some reason i stupidly tried to close the carb drain screws by using the pilot screws. Bike wouldn't run unless the choke was on so i know i messed up the pilot screws. I did run around the block and there wasn't any flat spot, LOL. Ended up doing the idle drop thingy and the bike runs smashing as much as i can tell right now. Just took it for almost an hour ride. Pulls well up to 9k in the first 4 gears. Didn't go on the freeway because it is 33 Degrees and FOGGY. Hoping this is it and all is well. Thanks Squirrel for all your help!!
